She's at it again!

Look what I got!!!  That's right!  I have poison ivy and contact dermatitis!!!  Yeah!!!  Itching is FUN!  This is what I get for helping George do yard work!  And for an added bonus, I'm allergic to the face mask I wear while sanding and stripping (wood, not clothing... I gave that up for Lent!  LOL OMG I'm killing myself laughing too hard!!!) So this adds to my other beauty secrets and general overall good looks!
Onward... so I am currently working on two rooms at the same time!!! That's right, You heard me... I'm working on the downstairs bathroom, the one right off the kitchen and the Butler's Pantry.  They are back to back and they share a plumbing wall so I needed to get in both spaces for the plumber to have access.  My original plan was to keep the powder blue tile even though I don't like it but now it all has to come down because of some plumbing issues so ... I'll be spending some $$$ on tile and although I'm not thrilled with $$$, I'm thrilled that the tile is going.  On the plumbing note - the lines are all in but we can't get the water turned on and the water company won't come out until Monday!!! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... I'm glad I wasn't really planning on going the bathroom there... I guess I'll keep driving over to Kentucky Fried Chicken for a "soda".  When I have to go, I drive there, do my business and buy a soda.  I don't want to seem rude!

So most of the wallpaper is down, half of the tile is down and the toilet and the sink are gone and new ones await installation!!! I'm so excited because George finally caved in and we bought a "luxury" toilet.  Seriously, it says that on the box.  What that means is that it's a tall toilet.  I've asked for a tall toilet for the last 3 years for Christmas.  Some people only want their two front teeth, I wanted a tall toilet!  If you are taller or have knee issues, the difference in a tall toilet is amazing!  So right now, there is a tall toilet sitting in its box in the dining room!!!!  But before we can install I have to finish ripping down the the tile, tile the floor and get the new wall treatments up...
sorta artsy...

This is the door that we discovered on the other side of the "Back Kitchen" and as you can see, on this side there is a radiator in front of the door so we have to take that out and move it as well...

It's coming down... piece by piece... I had to be careful, not to break the glass on the door...
I can't wait to open it so we can walk out to the new door way...oh wait... it's LOCKED!!!!  I need a skeleton key!!! Do you have one?  Please contact me if you do.

This is what it looks like when you look out the window and wish you could get into that room but you have no key!!!!

I think this would be a cool black and white photo...     hmmmm  may have to work on that...  Well, there's so much going on and such high hopes but both of the kids are coming home this weekend and instead of me in my Project Manager role, I'll be in Mom role and I doubt that anything will get done...I hope your weekend is full of fun and frolic and that you do something that requires you to do nothing!
Thanks for checking up on us...
We'll be back with more updates and more excitement in the coming hours...
Peace,
C

Info, not all "skeleton" keys are the same. The interior doors at my old house had locks, that might have been Corbin P-3, but the exterior doors had a different number. Try an old hardware store, maybe Ondrus' on Oak St.; if they have a variety, they might let you buy them and then return the ones that don't work. (LM)
